AMANZI EC

Communities all over South Africa have rallied around,as they always do in disaster situations, and set up networks to donate, collect and transport water to disaster areas.
The water is distributed to a number of destinations, each one using the water sparingly to meet their individual needs.

Aliwal North Lady Grey Barkly East Maclear How you can help

Donate water by either buying bottled water or by filling empty bottles that you have. You can then take your bottles to your nearest donation station. Offer your time to either man a donation station or to transport the water to the areas in need. Those based overseas can also help by sending money to family and friends in South Africa. The money can be used to fund transport to disaster areas or to hire trucks to transport the water to people/animals in need. Share this news piece far and wide to promote awareness and to encourage volunteers and donations.

If you are able to fill up bottles of water at home, please clearly label each bottle as follows:

DW = Drinking Water (to be used for human consumption only). TW = Tap, Rain or Tank Water (to be used for live-stock or sanitary use)   It starts with us at home, so let us all work together and help one another where we can
